Google’s Pixel 9 Tensor G4 chipset will be made by Samsung

Google will continue to use ‘Made by Samsung’ chipset for the Pixel 9 series. In a new report, it has been revealed that Tensor G4, Google’s next-gen Tensor chip that will power the Pixel 9 series, will be made by Samsung Foundry’s 4LPP+ process.

According to a report, Tensor G4 codename Zuma Pro is confirmed. The codename suggests that the next-gen Tensor chip will be a refined version of the G3.

Previously, it was rumored that Google plans to manufacture a 2024 Tensor chip on the TSMC process. Looking at the circumstances of the failed attempt to produce Tensor G4 at TSMC, it was reasonable to regard Tensor G4 production at Samsung Foundry.
