In March this year, MediaTek released the Dimensity 8000 and Dimensity 8100 chips, and MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9000+ chip has also been officially released, which is expected to be officially launched in Q3 2022.
Previously, some users were excited about the performance of the Dimensity 8100 chip and believed that the performance of the Dimensity 8100 platform was released well, mainstream games could run smoothly, and the power consumption was reasonable. It means that this chip achieves a balance between performance and power consumption to a certain extent.
Moreover, the Dimensity 8100 uses TSMC’s 5nm process, the CPU part includes 4 2.85GHz A78 cores + 4 2.0GHz A55 cores, the GPU is Mali-G610, and the self-developed APU 580 architecture is used. The core frequency of APU 2x performance is increased by 25%, and the main frequency of GPU is increased by 20%. It supports FHD+ 168Hz and WQHD+ 120Hz screens.
