New NVIDIA R470 driver will not support GTX 600 series graphics cards

The new driver of the NVIDIA R470 version is coming soon, this version will officially stop supporting GTX 600 series “Kepler” architecture graphics cards. According to Nvidia’s roadmap, the driver releases a major version every 3 months, and the “Kepler” architecture graphics card stops the driver update as planned.

The “Kepler” architecture GTX 600 series graphics cards were released in 2012. Among them, the GTX 690 with two cores was the fastest graphics card at the time, TDP 300W, powered by dual 8-pins, and was called a “nuclear bomb” by players.

GTX 690 relied on 3072 stream processors, 1019MHz frequency, and 4GB GDDR5 video memory at the time, and its performance was dominant at the time, and its initial price was $999.

Nvidia’s current graphics card driver version is 466.47, which still supports GTX 600 series graphics cards. This driver adds support for the LHR mining restricted core, adds support for the new game “Days Gone”, and also fixes some bugs in the game.
