New Xiaomi TV dongle gets FCC certified, launch could happen soon

According to the latest news, recently, Xiaomi’s new TV Stick product has passed the US FCC certification, and high-definition large image and dismantling photos of the product have surfaced. The product is codenamed “MDZ-27-AA”, and foreign media is expected to name the product as Xiaomi TV Stick 4K 2021.

The FCC certifications released dismantling drawings, photos of remote control, accessories, and some product parameters of this product. As can be seen from the disassembly diagram, the Mi TV Stick is equipped with an Amlogic S905Y4 chip and has four Cortex-A35 cores, and integrates Mali-G31 MP2 GPU.

The motherboard also integrates Samsung’s independent memory, flash memory chips, and MediaTek’s wireless modules. In addition, the product uses a USB 2.0 Micro-B interface for the power supply.

In terms of performance, Xiaomi’s new TV Stick supports 4K/60 FPS 10bit video specifications and AV1, AVS2 (4K/30 FPS), H.264, H.265, and VP9 P-2 video decoding. In addition, the TV Stick also supports the following audio and video standards:

  • Dolby Atmos
  • Dolby Vision
  • DTS HD
  • HDR10
  • HDR10+
  • HLG

It is said that the product is expected to run on an Android TV system, WiFi wireless connection speed up to 866.7 Mbps. The product is also equipped with an HDMI extension cable and a 5V 1A power adapter.

The first generation of Mi TV Stick is called Mi TV Stick, which is priced at $60 (approx 387 Yuan). This product only supports 1080p resolution, and its appearance is similar to the new model.
