A new patent reveals Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 with dual and tri fold designs
In less than a year after launching the Galaxy Z Fold 2, Samsung may now be developing a third foldable version. According to the US Patent Application Company (coverpigtou @xleaks), Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 will provide two different versions: dual version and triple version.

The patent document shows a device that looks similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 2, but instead of folding in half, it folds on both sides. The phone has two hinges on the sides instead of the center, which means it will remain in tablet mode even after folding, despite the smaller screen and four cameras on the front camera.
Although the external screen looks bigger this time, it is difficult to see the difference between the double fold and the normal fold.
There are also speaker grilles on the two folded sides, which can reduce the height of the speakers. Samsung is likely to use its 120Hz screen to make the entire UI experience smoother and faster.
The Galaxy Fold and Galaxy Z Fold 2 have been criticized for their narrow external screens, and Samsung may be able to use this new version to solve the problem.
It is not clear when Samsung will launch the Galaxy Z Fold 3. However, despite the slowdown in the production chain due to the global pandemic, Samsung is still doing a good job in maintaining its release.
Therefore, we will not be surprised if the double-fold and triple-fold variants of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 arrive in the second half of the year. We also expect the price of these devices to be approximately $2,000.
