Apple iPhone 16 Pro tipped to feature stacked camera design

Apple fans are still waiting to catch the first glimpse of the iPhone 15 series. Meanwhile, a new leak reveals some camera design inputs for the next year’s flagship model – Apple iPhone 16 Pro. As per the details, the approaching devices will adopt a stacked camera sensor.

Recently, the well-known Apple analyst @Ming-ChiKuo said that the iPhone 16 Pro will showcase a stacked rear camera sensor design. Perhaps, it would be quite similar to the 15th device version in terms of the optical framework.

Note that iPhone 15 and ‌‌iPhone 15‌‌ Plus models hearsay to bring a 48 MP rear camera with a stacked CMOS image sensor (CIS) design to capture more light and result in outstanding images. But due to production yield issues, these sensors will only appear for Pro variants.

Eventually, the same 48 MP wide-angle camera will be used in the ‌iPhone 16‌ Pro Max to feature an eight-part hybrid lens with two glass elements and six plastic elements. Alongside this, there will be more improvements for the telephoto and ultra-wide camera lenses.
