Posted on

Samsung just recently unveiled three new smartphones in its Galaxy Unpacked event under the Galaxy S21 series. The trio consists of three smartphones including Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, and Galaxy S21 Ultra. Other than the new flagships, the company has also announced several other gadgets.

One of the major changes that we saw is the S-Pen support for the Galaxy S21 Ultra. The S-Pen functionality was previously limited to the Note series devices and some Galaxy Tabs. The company has now transferred this feature to its S-series smartphone.

Although the S-Pen will be sold separately for the Galaxy S21 Ultra and you need to purchase it if you want to use this function. The most exciting thing to note is that Samsung announced more on the S-Pen function for the Galaxy devices.

As per the announcement it was found that the Korean tech firm is planning to expand its S-Pen functionality to other Galaxy devices as well. If this happens, then the S-Pen feature will be no longer unique for the Galaxy Note devices.

This is what the company said:

“We are committed to innovating new mobile experiences that flow seamlessly and continuously to make our consumers’ lives easier and better. We’ve made the bold decision to expand the S Pen experience to Galaxy S21 Ultra, and plan to expand the S Pen experience across additional device categories in the future.”

We have already been receiving several rumors that the upcoming Galaxy Foldable devices from Samsung could also come with S-Pen. Although, it remains to be seen, which of the upcoming Galaxy devices will get the S-Pen functionality.
