Samsung has filed a new patent with the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) for a foldable device with a detachable keyboard. This innovative design is expected to transform the smartphone industry.
As per the details, the filled patent reveals a device with a large display and a hinge at the bottom. This allows the foldable phone to fold inward and enables users to transform their smartphone into a mini laptop.
Notably, the detachable keyboard can be attached to the bottom of the device and folded inward, alongside the lower portion of the screen. Accordingly, this new foldable mechanism may also raise concerns about screen durability.
However, currently, there are no words to say, whether this new folding mechanism will be applied to a foldable, which will be released in 2025. Or, users have to wait for more years to see this innovative device in real.
