According to a new report, Samsung will host a Galaxy Unpacked event on August 5 to unveil the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Fold 2. The report claims that the launch event will be online-only.

As reported by the Korean media:

“Internal discussions are taking place, but the plan to hold the Galaxy Unpacked event on August 5 is being reviewed favorably,” said a member of Samsung Electronics. The South Korean electronics giant has been hosting annual events to unveil new smartphones for the second half of the year in August in New York. “As COVID-19 is still spreading and anti-racism protests are worsening in the U.S., this year’s event is likely to be held online,” said an electronics industry source.

Samsung is working on the new products with the aim of initially launch schedules, despite rumors that tech companies are delaying plans amid the global coronavirus pandemic, reports Korea Herald.

According to the report, Samsung has started to prepare for the launch event for its Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Fold 2, which is planned for August 2020. Samsung’s engineers and employees are working in their offices and proceeding on schedule, reports Korean media.

“Preparations are underway for the upcoming Galaxy Note launch, and there is no delay,” said an industry insider. “But regarding a physical event, things are yet to be discussed, we are considering measures likes an online event.”

According to the rumors, the Galaxy Note 20 to come with an upgraded S Pen, a 7-inch screen and the under-display camera. You can read everything about Galaxy Note 20 here.

Samsung has already launched the Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy Z Flip in February this year.
