At a recent I/O event, Google confirmed the Pixel 7 series as the next upcoming flagship lineup. Since then, the leaks and rumors are started surfacing through online platforms. This week, we have also seen the Pixel 7 prototype real-life images.
In addition to this, it was also reported Google Pixel 7 series smartphone display will be the same as of Pixel 6 lineup. Now, the new information reveals that a developer using the Google Pixel 6 Pro smartphone is able to use the Pixel 7 Pro display driver to use Android 13 new settings.

By using the Pixel 7 Pro's display driver on the Pixel 6 Pro, Android 13's screen resolution setting becomes available, and the resolution can be changed to 1080p.

The Pixel 7 Pro’s display driver can enable the Android 13’s ability to change the display resolution on the Pixel 6 Pro smartphone. For your information, the Android 13 will have a new setting page for resolution switching. It means the user can switch screen resolution from high-resolution (1080p) to the highest resolution (14440p).
Following this information, it is expected that Google Pixel 7 Pro has a 1440p display and possibly support settings to change the resolution to 1080p. However, the existing Google Pixel 6 Pro currently does not has this feature.

According to the Pixel 7 prototype images, the upcoming smartphone has a matte silver finish bar on the back side with a similar camera bar and overall design to the Pixel 6.
