Google Pixel 8 series will include several eye-catching changes and one of them could be the ‘solely eSIM’ operations. As per new revealings, the company is planning to ditch the SIM card slot completely for the next smartphone lineup.
Recently, @OnLeaks partnered with SmartPrix and shared renders of the Pixel 8 series. While things would have appeared fine to many of us, the Android analyst – @MishaalRahman spotted the absence of the SIM card slot on the left side.
This doesn’t seems usual as none of the other Pixel handsets’ renders have shown any such absence. Hence, it couldn’t be just an accidental omission. Although, SmartPrix says that there is a SIM card slot on the left side of the Pixel 8 Pro.
Overall, things are confusing and these images might be incorrect to an extent. However, Google can still opt for replacing the SIM card slots with an eSIM for Pixel 8 series, at least in the US.
