Google reportedly shared Pixel 5a’ captured image in its recent AI Blog post
The rumors claimed that it had been canceled, and then Google confirmed that the device had not been canceled. Now, Google may have shared photos taken with the device in October last year.
The image was found in the photo album, which has been linked to a blog post that discusses the issue of HDR+ with parentheses on the Pixel Phone. We can infer some details about the Pixel 5a from the sample photos. It was taken on October 1, 2020, so it is likely to come from an earlier software version and an older Google Camera version.

The resolution is 4032×3024, which shows that the device is equipped with a 12.2MP sensor. At the same time, the aperture is f/2.2 and the equivalent focal length is 16mm, indicating that this was taken by an ultra-wide-angle camera.
When the Pixel 5a is launched on the market, it may be equipped with a dual-camera setup and have HDR+ support with a stand. The device may also support night vision and portrait mode, which are features we hope Pixel phones provide.
The picture itself is nothing special, but as we said, it may come from an earlier software version and does not fully indicate what we will see from the retail version.
Now we know that Pixel 5a has not been canceled, it is just a waiting game. Although Google plans to hold an I/O event in May, it is expected that the device will not arrive until the end of summer or even this fall. When it started, it was only available in the U.S. and Japan.
In addition to the dual-camera setup, Pixel 5a is expected to be equipped with a 6.2-inch OLED Full HD + display and Snapdragon 765G SoC. The previous report also stated that the Pixel 5a pointed out that the Pixel 5a is said to be 2.3mm longer, 0.8mm narrower and 0.6mm thicker than the Pixel 4a 5G.
