Google unveiled new emojis and animated emojis for Android devices
Google has recently unveiled the company’s work on emojis that include the addition of Unicode 15.0 emojis to AOSP, an animated version of emojis in Android, a colored version of Noto Emoji font, and support for color-changing emoji on Chrome.
According to Google Developers Blog, the company adds Unicode 15.0 emojis to Google’s emoji library and shows off Google’s design for those emojis. Unicode 15.0 brings 31 new emojis that include a wing, a leftwards and rightwards hand, a jellyfish, a pea pod, a shaking face, and more.

Google says these new emojis are coming soon to Android devices and will become available across Google products earlier the next year. The Google Pixel devices might be the first to get these new emojis, however, these will gradually expand to more devices.
In addition to these Unicode 15.0 emojis, Google is further bringing new animated versions of emojis that are already available on Android devices. There are around 200 animated emojis listed on Google’s website. And, some of these animated emojis are already available in Google Messages app.
Furthermore, Google updates the Noto Emoji font, which is an open-source emoji font that can be used online and is currently supported by Chrome and other Google products. This font originally only supports monochrome emojis now Google is releasing a colored version of the Noto Emoji font, in order to give it a new life.
You can now change the color of the emoji using the emoji kitchen. Customizing and personalizing emotes is becoming more technically feasible, thanks to Noto Emoji. Lastly, Google is also bringing support for emojis that can change colors to Chrome, you can now do some sweet things to customize the appearance of color fonts.
