Huawei Mate X2 launched with inward fold design, Kirin 9000, 65W fast charging, and more

Vanishing all the leaks and rumors, Huawei has officially announced the Mate X2 folding phone. This next-generation folding smartphone from the Chinese tech giant comes with some additional changes over the previous generation.

The design of the smartphone looks premium and unique as it is equipped with dual-screen and thin bezels. You can check all the specs along with the price and availability below.

Huawei Mate X2 Specifications:

Huawei Mate X2 comes with an 8-inch foldable display along with 2480 x 2200 pixel resolution with a 180Hz touch sampling rate. The bezels at the edges are thin that will provide a seamless video experience.

In terms of camera, it equips a 50MP main camera with f/1.9 aperture and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), a 16MP ultra wide-angle (f/2.4 aperture), a 12MP telephoto camera (f/2.4 aperture, OIS with anti-shake), and an 8MP Periscope super zoom camera with 10x optical zoom, f/4.4 aperture, and optical image stabilization.

For selfies, there is a 16MP wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture and added modes. In the unfolded state the device measures 146.2mm x 161.3mm x 11mm and 78.5mm wide the unfolded state.

The device is powered by the latest Kirin 9000 SoC built on a 5nm process. This octa-core chipset packs 1 x Cortex-A77 which clocks at 3.13GHz, 3 x Cortex A77 at 2.54 GHz, and 4 x Cortex at 3.05 GHz. The chipset uses a 24-core Mali-GPU for powerful graphics.

With a battery of 4500mAh, it weighs 300g along and supports 65W fast charging. It comes with a 55W in box charger along with a Type-C input. It comes with 5G connectivity and all the latest connectivity features including WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.
