Huawei P50 series reportedly won’t feature 12GB RAM variant

Posted on

Previously, we have reported that Huawei has removed the 12GB RAM variant from its Mate 40 RS Porsche Design and it will only be available in the 8GB option. This may be followed with the Huawei P50 series too. According to the latest info coming from Weibo tipster, Huawei may not launch any 12GB version in the P50 series.

The series will not feature 12GB RAM for at least the start and will come with 8GB instead, however, the company may also add the 12GB version in the future. This doesn’t seem to be a good leak for the gamers, while we still wait for the official confirmation on this matter.

The likely reason for not including the higher RAM version is Huawei’s US ban, which forced the company not to carry its business with memory makers such as Samsung and SK Hynix. This leads to component shortage and may result in no bigger RAM models in the upcoming flagships.

The component shortage restricts Huawei to launch 5G versions of the P50. These phones are likely to unveil on July 29, while we expect something official to come very soon.

Huawei P50 Specs [Leaked]:

This upcoming lineup will come with three models as Huawei P50, P50 Pro, and P50 Pro Plus. Both the P50 and P50 Pro are said to be launched earlier, whereas the P50 Pro Plus may be postponed. The official launch date is not yet known, but following the leaks, it might happen on July 29.

The base variant, Huawei P50 will come with a 6.3-inch display, while the P50 Pro will have a 6.7-inch screen. All three models will have the latest HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system pre-installed and will be powered by the Kirin 9000 and 9000E processor. Further, there will be a new advanced camera design and much more.
