Huawei reportedly discontinued Mate 40 RS Porsche Design 12GB RAM variant
Huawei launched Mate 40 RS Porsche Design in two RAM variants – 8GB and 12 GB. According to the latest news coming from Weibo tipster suggests that the company will discontinue the 12GB version of Mate 40 RS Porsche Design, while the 8GB variant will be only supplied in the future.
Several offline stores and customer service have reported demands for the 12GB variant of Mate 40 RS, but unfortunately, those users have to stop waiting for it as they might not get one. The Mate 40 RS Porche Design was officially launched back in October 2020 powered by Kirin 9000 SoC, Leica camera setup with the octagonal design, and a bunch of other premium features.

Huawei JD’s self-operated flagship store has an 8/128GB version available and it is priced at 10,999 yuan. And apart from that, there is not another memory variant available on sale.
Huawei is in the top gear of HarmonyOS 2 rollout, the company has been releasing back-to-back beta updates for its smartphones. The Mate 40 devices along with the RS Porsche Design were the initial devices up for the beta testing. The company has also released the first stable version of HarmonyOS 2 for 18 of its topmost devices including the Mate 40 series.
