OnePlus phones are light, fast, and smooth as they come with some Google Suite, and a handful of OnePlus own apps. But with the recent flagships, the scenario seems to have changed, as the recent setup of OnePlus 12 and OnePlus Open have suggested the installation of bloatware apps.
A user on X reported that at the time of the OnePlus 12 setup, he came across a screen suggesting some third-party apps including LinkedIn, Policybazaar, Block Blast, and Candy Crush Saga to be installed on his device. Accordingly, these apps were presented under the Review Additional Apps section.
Not only this, but Android Authority has also found some evidence that suggests the arrival of more third-party apps on OnePlus devices. Yes, some codes suggest adding the below-mentioned bloatware apps in the future OnePlus devices, which will either be pre-installed or shown via APK stubs.

The inclusion of bloatware apps could be a welcome addition for some, but at the same time, it can also ruin user experience as they take up valuable space and potentially impact device performance. Bloatware apps come bundled with the device, which may not be essential or useful to all users.
However, OnePlus has not yet confirmed adding more bloatware apps to its devices. But, if this comes out to be true, then this move will show OnePlus’s shift in its app strategy, raising both curiosity and concerns among smartphone users.
I was setting up the OnePlus 12 and I came across a screen suggesting additional apps that I could install. I’ve never seen these apps suggested before on any OnePlus Flagship. This OnePlus 12 was being used and updated before, now reset.
