Recently, a new device has appeared on the Chinese certification website and this indicates that Xiaomi is planning to add a new member to its family, maybe as a part of the Civi series. Although, the device name has not yet been officially revealed, but it could possibly be the Xiaomi Civi 2s smartphone.
According to the information, the upcoming Xiaomi device which could be Civi 2s has been granted radio approval by the MIIT authority in China, with the model number 23046PNC9C. However, the radio certification does not reveal any other details about the device’s specifications so far.
Therefore, the device is expected to appear on other Chinese certification platforms, such as 3C and TENAA in the coming days. Additionally, the digit 2304 in the model number also indicates that the device may launch as early as April, and as the Civi series is exclusive, so it will be live in China.
Besides the certification details, we have also witnessed various leaks and rumors about the upcoming device. That shows some details about the forthcoming smartphone like, it’s going to adopt a slim body structure and is expected to feature an AMOLED panel with curved edges and a pill-shaped cutout.
Moving on, the smartphone is tipped to feature a triple camera setup at the back consisting of an OIS-enabled Sony IMX800 main sensor. Further, the screen will support a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate and it’s likely to have the Dimensity 8200 SoC, which is different from other Civi models.
However, the other details about the upcoming device are yet to reveal. Thus, there are various reports that claim that the next Civi device will be called the Xiaomi Civi 3. But, there is a possibility that the 23046PNC9C will be an upgraded version and not a successor to the Xiaomi Civi 2.
