Xiaomi is indeed known for its constant technological advancements and is always pushing boundaries with its innovative products. Meanwhile, now it seems like the Chinese tech firm is planning to bring a new device with a separate design. As a new Xiaomi smartphone with a pop-up front camera has recently emerged online.
According to reports, Xiaomi is implementing a hidden camera patent, this pop-up camera design offers a full-screen display without any unsightly cutouts or bezels. However, it’s worth noting that this is not the first time Xiaomi has used a pop-up camera, with the Mi 9T series being the last smartphone from Xiaomi to feature this design.
This advanced design aims to eliminate some of the shortcomings associated with the earlier models, such as the increase in the device’s weight and size. However, the patent granted by the National Intellectual Property Administration confirms the inclusion of a housing camera module and retractable reflective component.
The reflective component plays a vital role in protecting the camera module, reducing space usage, and improving pixel quality by reflecting images onto the camera module for imaging.
