Samsung Galaxy S25 series is set to make a significant shift by exclusively incorporating Qualcomm’s powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip. This marks a notable departure from Galaxy S24 models that utilized Samsung’s in-house Exynos processors.
As per the information of @mingchikuo, Qualcomm is poised to become the exclusive SoC supplier for the Galaxy S25 series. This change results from Samsung’s Exynos 2500 potential shipping delays due to lower-than-expected yields on the 3nm process.
For a recall, the newly launched Galaxy S24 Ultra powers Snapdragon chips exclusively. While, Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ boast Exynos in some markets, and Snapdragon in others. However, this could change next year.
It means the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra could completely power the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chips. The Snapdragon SoC is renowned for its advanced technology, offering enhanced performance, improved efficiency, and advanced features.
By opting for this chipset, the Korean tech giant aims to deliver a superior user experience with faster processing speeds, smoother multitasking capabilities, and optimized power consumption.

The report further suggests that, Qualcomm planning to implement a 25-30% price increase on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. This move is expected to benefit the company significantly through the surge in S25 orders.
Furthermore, TSMC also stands as the exclusive supplier of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 utilizing the N3E process. Hence, the maker is also expected to gain substantial benefits from the uptick in Qualcomm’s order volume.
Qualcomm will likely be the sole SoC supplier for the Samsung Galaxy S25 (vs. 40% for the S24), as the Exynos 2500 may not ship due to Samsung's lower-than-expected 3nm yield.
