The lonely attractive part is its back. There is a clear glass panel on the back of the device, below which you will see a row of LED notification lights. Nothing mentions these as “Glyphs“. These LED notification lights can actually turn on when you receive a message, they can be used to create a light show when your phone rings, and more. You can also check your phone’s battery level when you have your charger plugged in, as the LED light on the bottom will indicate this.
The device offer8GB and 12GB RAM variants
It is a mid-range device in terms of specifications. It is powered by Snapdragon 778G+ SoC while it comes in both 8GB and 12GB RAM variants. There are two 8GB RAM models available with 128GB and 256GB of storage. The 12GB RAM variant includes 256GB of storage.

Nothing Promises 3 Years of Android Updates, 4 Years of Security Patches
On the software side, the Nothing Phone 1 runs on Nothing’s custom Android skin based on Android 12 called Nothing OS. Nothing says that this is a minimal skin without a set of useful features and bloatware that will only improve the user experience. The company claims that the software provides an open ecosystem, allowing users to control third-party products without the need for a separate app.
In addition, Nothing OS will allow users to check AirPods battery status from quick settings and will include a unique NFT gallery to help users display their precious NFTs on the home screen. As shown earlier, the software also includes a bespoke minimalist launcher with custom widgets, fonts, sound, and wallpaper.
It comes pre-installed on the device with Android 12, Nothing OS, and Nothing Launcher. Note that Nothing Promises 3 Years of Android Updates and 4 Years of Security Patches every two months for the device.
