Google Pixel 3a and 3a XL were the prominent smartphones of Google, which are going to complete their official support lifespan in May 2022. Google has launched these mid-range smartphones in 2019 with solid performance, long-lasting batteries, and amazing features.
Now, it’s been three years of its launch and Google Pixel 3a and 3a XL are at the end of their lives. Recently, Google has seeded the May 2022 security update in the above-mentioned smartphones with Android 12.1/12L version number SP2A.220505.002 via OTA.
As per the latest info, Google Pixel 3a and 3a XL will get one last update before we say goodbye. Google will release the final update for corresponding devices in July 2022 and afterward, these devices are no longer get software updates. Additionally, the Pixel 3a series will unlikely receive the June 2022 update.

In May 2019, at the launch of the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL, we announced that the devices would receive three years of software updates and three years of security updates from when our devices first became available on the Google Store. The final update for Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL will rollout to users by July 2022.

Similar to the past generations, Google is going to serve the final update for Pixel 3a and 3a XL, which is arriving in July 2022. However, the Pixel 3a is completing its update cycle in May 2022 and just after the two months gap, it will get the last update. This is a relatively short tenure as compared to the Pixel 3 and 3XL update gap of four months.
