Yes, you heard it right a Chinese company is planning to ditch the mute switch in the upcoming OnePlus 10T smartphone, which is so shocking as the side alert or we can say the mute slider is the ideal identification of the brand. Not only this the device is also conveyed to not include any Hasselblad branding at the rear camera.
As per the information by The Verge, Hope Liu chief designer of OnePlus stated that ditching the slider was essential for the 10T to have enough internal space for other components needed for “high wattage charging, a large battery capacity, and better antenna signal.”
Further, Liu explained that because of the other major components like an antenna and a bigger battery company compromises with the mute switch button as it is less essential and occupies a big area in the motherboard. He also asked for dropping the Hasselblad camera branding then he said that it happens because the company wants to offer an ultimate flagship phone-like performance.
In concern about ditching the Hasselblad branding, the chief designer further confirms that the upcoming phone will not lack in-camera capabilities as it will use a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor and will support shooting in 10-bit color, as well as there will be an improved HDR photography mode and further it will have today’s most favorite mode which is night photography.
Aside from this, the OnePlus 10T will come with a 6.7-inch display, 120Hz refresh, a 150W super-fast charging, and it will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen1 processor. You can further check its complete specification and expected price details here.
