As confirmed in the press conference, the OnePlus 12 and Ace 3 will use the newly announced BOE’s ‘X1 display’. The OnePlus 12 will have a 2K resolution (1,440x3168p) display, powered by OPPO’s P1 chip, with better color accuracy, and better PWM dimming. The OnePlus Ace 3 will also use the same X1 display with a 1.5K resolution display (1,240×2,772p).

OnePlus also confirmed that the display can reach a maximum brightness of 2,600 nits. It uses 13% less energy when compared to previously used screens by OnePlus. This is the first Chinese display to get a DisplayMate A+ certification rating, according to a post on Weibo.

In addition, a new leak claimed that the OnePlus 12 will have 50W wireless charging, courtesy of Digital Chat Station and Max Jambor. The OnePlus 12 should also support 100W wired charging.

As per numerous rumors, the OnePlus 12 could come in December in China and in January 20024 for global users. The OnePlus 12 will be packed with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, up to 16GB of RAM, a 6.7-inch 120Hz display, and OxygenOS 14 out of the box.

The device could feature a larger battery capacity (5,400mAh instead of the 5,000 available on the OnePlus 11) and a 64MP telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom.
