We have reported previously that the Chinese smartphone maker, OnePlus, is preparing to launch the three models of the upcoming OnePlus 9 series – OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, and OnePlus 9 Lite. All three OnePlus models will be unveiled in Q1 2021.

Well, according to a fresh report, we now have more information about the budget model, the OnePlus 9 Lite. The OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro will be powered by Qualcomm’s 5nm Snapdragon 888 SoC, but the OnePlus 9 Lite will get the Snapdragon 865, reports Android Central.
As reported by the publisher, the company could launch the OnePlus 9 Lite at around $600, to target flagship buyers – like the Galaxy S20 FE and Pixel 5.
In addition, the company could pack the same hardware in OnePlus 9 Lite as the OnePlus 8T. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 and likely to have a 90/120Hz AMOLED panel along with 65W fast charging.
About the camera department, it will also share similar camera specs as the OnePlus 8T, while the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro will get a new camera setup at the back. To differentiate from the OnePlus 8T, the company could use a plastic back on the OnePlus 9 Lite.
More likely, OnePlus is again going to follow Samsung’s path – yeah! The Galaxy S20 FE.
