Posted on

After experiencing the mid-range 5G smartphones launched by Samsung (such as Galaxy A52, A72, A32), it’s time to take a look at the Galaxy A22 5G. Having been exposed to many vulnerabilities including the latest renderings, this affordable device is now about to be launched.

Now that more details have been revealed, the Galaxy A22 5G model SM-A226B was found in the Geekbench database. According to the list, it will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 processor and 6GB of RAM.

In addition, the chipset also has two Cortex-A76 CPU cores with a clock frequency of 2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 CPU cores with a clock frequency of 2.2GHz. To process graphics, it is equipped with an ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU running at 950MHz. Don’t forget, this is a 5G chipset that will provide peak download speeds of up to 2.77Gbps.

In terms of scores, the Geekbench list shows that the upcoming smartphone scored 562 points in the single-core test, while the multi-core test showed 1,755 points. However, if these scores are compared with the A32 5G, we find that the Galaxy A22 wins a reasonable score considering its chipset performance.

Samsung Galaxy A22 5G [Expected Features]

If we experience previous leaks, Galaxy A22 5G may launch a 6.5-inch LCD display with a traditional notch. For the camera, it may have a 48MP setting on the back and a 16MP camera on the front. For other functions, it can be pre-installed with a UI 3.x, including Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-frequency GPS, and USB Type-C port.

Finally, the price of the Galaxy A22 5G may be between 210 euros and 275 euros, which is slightly more expensive than the 4G model that it will launch in the next few days. In addition, the Samsung mini product roadmap also revealed many upcoming Galaxy devices, among which the Galaxy A22 will be launched in July 2021.
