Samsung Galaxy A42 5G set for March 12 launch in South Korea

Samsung launches various smartphones every year, with the start of 2021 the company launched Galaxy S21 series phones which come in high-end flagship segments. Now, the South Korean tech giant is moving towards its mid range and budget phones.

There are two smartphones named Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72. The company has also announced the Galaxy A42 5G phones in the South Korean market. For those who are unaware, this handset is already been launched in the global markets and it will be unveiled in South Korea on March 12.

The smartphone will come with a large screen, long battery life, and comes with excellent camera quality. It sports a display of 6.6-inch display with a big-screen Infinity-U notch. It packs a 5000mAh battery along with a 15W fast charging.

The smartphone equips a quad-camera set up with a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 5MP depth camera, and a 5MP macro camera. On the front, there is a 20MP selfie camera. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 750G/MediaTek Helio P65 octa-core processor. While, for the South Korean variant there is currently no information available regarding the chipset.

Samsung Electronics will pre-sale on the company’s official website from the 8th to 11th, while in some open markets such as Coupang, Gmarket, and 11th Street, and online malls of mobile carriers and some open market pre-purchase customers can receive a 20% discount.

The company will also provides a 50% discount coupon for wireless earphone’ Galaxy Buds Live’ to customers who purchase Galaxy A42 5G until March 31st and a two-month free trial of premium video streaming membership YouTube Premium and a two-month free subscription to the reading platform ‘Milli’s Study’ e-book to all customers.

The price of the phone is 449,000 won, it is available in three colors that is Prism Dot Black, Prism Dot White, and Prism Dot Gray. We’ll get more details about the handset as it goes official on March 12.
