Samsung Galaxy M42 5G launched in India with One UI 3.1, sAMOLED display and more
Samsung launched its new M series smartphones in India. The new Galaxy M42 offers 5G connectivity support at an affordable price. It is worth mentioning that the company released it as a renamed version of the Galaxy A42 5G, which was launched in certain countries/regions last year.
Surprisingly, the South Korean tech giant has priced the Galaxy M42 5G at only Rs 21,999, which makes it the most affordable 5G product of the brand. It will be booked through Amazon from May 1, 2021. However, when making purchases through HDFC bank credit and debit cards, the company will also provide 2,000 Indian rupees (approximately US$27) in cashback.
The Samsung Galaxy M42 5G is equipped with a 6.6-inch Infinity-U sAMOLED display with HD+ resolution. For biometric authentication, it has an in-display fingerprint sensor. It is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 750G processor under the hood and is supported by 8GB RAM and 128GB internal memory.

Speaking of optics, the Galaxy M42 5G has a square quad rear camera. The camera specifications include a 48MP main lens, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 5MP depth camera, and a 5MP macro camera. In addition, it also has a 20MP camera on the front for selfies. In addition, it can record 4K 30fps video using the front and rear cameras.
Other specifications include GPS, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, dual SIM card port, and 3.5mm headphone jack. It is equipped with a large 5,000mAh battery and has fast charging support of up to 15W. Just like premium phones, Galaxy M42 also has Samsung Knox security, Samsung Pay and Secure Folder. Finally, it will be available in two colors: Prism Dot Black and Prism Dot Grey.
