Samsung Galaxy S24 series is going to be the next flagship lineup of the Korean tech firm, which is expected to bring significant upgrades such as processor, camera and satellite communication technology support. Also, the group of three models is anticipated to hit the market in the first quarter of 2024.
As per the information, the Korean Minister of Science and ICT hinted that Samsung might commercialize Satellite communication next year, and we can expect it to be supported on Galaxy S24 devices. However, the Korean official has also predicted that it would take at least three months from now to approve the cross-border supply agreement for Starlink.
In an interview with YonhapNews, Lee Jong-ho, Minister of Science and ICT disclosed that local (South Korean) smartphone makers are expected to launch a service that enables data transmission and reception between 5G smartphones and Satellite next year at the earliest.
- “I cannot say for sure, but I know that the domestic industry is considering commercializing the service next year, expecting that a standard related to satellite communication will be prepared next year,” Minister Lee said.
