Sixth-generation foldable phones from Samsung are currently in the works, meanwhile, a recent rumor suggests that Galaxy Z Flip 6 cover display might support a 90Hz refresh rate. Whereas, the predecessor of the upcoming clamshell device – Galaxy Z Flip 5 only supports a 60Hz refresh rate.
Galaxy Flip 6 Cover Display 90Hz refresh rate
An X/Twitter user named @kro_roe states that there is a possibility of a variable refresh rate of 90Hz for the external display of Flip 6. It means, the Korean tech giant is considering bringing a sixth-generation flip phone with substantial upgrades, that offer a more optimized experience.
However, it’s important to note that this information is based on rumors, so we recommend taking this news as a pinch of salt. As some previous rumors also suggested support of a 120Hz refresh rate for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 cover screen.
But if this rumor turns out to be true, then users can expect smoother scrolling, better animations, and an overall improved visual experience. With a 90Hz refresh rate, the cover display of Flip 6 would be even more responsive, as the Flip 5 external screen is already adequate with only a 60Hz refresh rate.
