Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 could come with a significant cover screen downgrade. The clamshell device is scheduled to be unveiled at Unpacked event and it’s one of the most highly anticipated smartphones of the year.
According to input, a leaked specs sheet of Galaxy Z Flip 6, hints that the clamshell phone features an IPS LCD cover screen. This is a step down from the AMOLED cover display found on its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip 5.
It’s worth noting that, IPS LCD screens that are expected to be equipped on next clamshell are not as advanced as OLED displays. This screen offers lower contrast and less power efficiency when displaying dark colors.
Besides this downgrade, the cover screen size of Galaxy Z Flip 6 is also expected to remain the same at 3.4 inches, which will also be a big disappointment for users expecting more larger outer display.

Samsung may have opted for the cheaper IPS LCD panels to maintain or reduce component costs used to develop the next clamshell device.
But if this rumor turns out to be true, then users may express their disappointment. As the maker is anticipated to increase the cost of Galaxy Z Flip 6, without offering any substantial upgrades.
