- Samsung mid-range foldable phone is coming next year: report
Samsung is making it easy for everyone to buy foldable phones next year. According to a new report, Samsung is planning to introduce a mid-range foldable phone in 2024. Supply chain sources, via TrendForece, revealed that the Galaxy maker has plans to bring foldable phones to the mid-range market next year.
With the introduction of a mid-range foldable, Samsung wants to further reduce price barriers and make foldable phones more accessible to a broader range of consumers. This year, the lowest price for foldable phones has already dropped to 3,659 yuan (~ $500), setting a new record.
Back in 2020, the South Korean tech giant introduced its first flip phone, which went on sale for nearly $1,400. However, the company has managed to bring its Galaxy Z Flip portfolio to the $1000 segment, as technology and form factor have matured.
