Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Fold 2 smartphone in September 2020 and now this year, the company is planning to launch its successor as the Galaxy Z Fold 3. This upcoming phablet is said to include some new technologies and now the Korean firm is also working on another innovation for the smartphone.
As per the latest news, Samsung has applied for a new patent that describes the company’s plan to make the screen of the folding phone more secure. In detail, the patent describes that the foldable phone’s display will include a rail placed in between the display panel along with a support member.
This new technology will help prevent the damage on the display panel caused by any external impact. It clearly recommends that this new innovation will protect the display of the phone but the actual thing still remains to be seen as how it will work.

It is important to note that this is just a patent that is currently on the paper while nothing can be said if this technology will come into reality or not. Besides this, the South Korean tech giant is also working on several other techs to include in the next-gen folding phone.
The previous leaks suggest that the upcoming Galaxy Fold will come with support for S-Pen and will be folded in Z shape. It is expected to be launch in June or July this year. So, there is still some time in this upcoming phone and we’ll keep you updated as soon as we receive something new on this.
