Samsung will start supplying foldable displays to Chinese brands from mid-2021: Report
With the launch of the innovative foldable screen smartphone – Galaxy Fold back in 2019, Samsung proved its continuously developing display technology.
Starting with the first-gen foldable device, Samsung introduced two more foldable screen smartphones – Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold 2 which equips the Ultra-Thin Glass foldable panels, but it looks like Samsung is not satisfied with this.
Recently, Samsung Display revealed its future plans for the quite impressive scrollable screen smartphones that exposes the company’s determination for making innovative foldable screens.
According to a new report, Samsung’s Display manufacturing department is planning to increase the business of folding screen panels by selling them to other phone makers.
The sources claimed that Samsung is expected to sell over 1 million foldable screens in 2021. To achieve the giant goal, the company preparing to supply the folding panels to several Chines firms and the mass production may be started from the second half of this year.

Previous reports reveal that the major Chinese smartphone brands including Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo will use Samsung’s panels for their upcoming folding screen smartphones.
However, we’ve recently witnessed Xiaomi’s so-called foldable testing device (read more) which may be launched this year. On the other hand, Oppo and Vivo have not yet unveiled their strategies on foldable devices.

According to current information, Mi MIX 4 will be officially unveiled in the second half of the year. It will provide you a new form of folding screen, which is worth looking forward to.
