Samsung to use waterdrop hinge design for Galaxy Z Fold 5/ Flip 5
Samsung is making every possible effort to make its upcoming foldable phones better than ever. Meanwhile, we grabbed some words saying that the Korean tech maker could use the waterdrop hinge design for its Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5.
As per the IceUniverse, Samsung will use the new waterdrop hinge design in its Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 folding gadgets. Just like the previous models, both devices will feature an IPX8 rating for water resistance. Although there’s no upgrade on the dust resistance feature for the moment.

Consequently, the new hinges will offer a slimmer form factor and less visible crease on the screen. Further, this teardrop hinge design will help phones lessen the gap where the screen folds (center point).

Another interesting point coming from the display search analyst mentions that there will not be any roll of BOE Display in Samsung foldable phones and Samsung Display will continue to supply its next-gen panels.
