Samsung officially released a new variant of the Galaxy S20 FE 4G with Snapdragon 865 SoC. The updated version of the S20 FE has the model number SM-G780G, which was announced in Malaysia and Vietnam earlier this week. The company also recently listed this model on its German and Swedish websites.
This is the first time Samsung has released a 4G version of the Galaxy S20 FE equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 processor. It is worth mentioning that the company has launched Galaxy S20 FE 4G equipped with Exynos 990 and 5G equipped with Snapdragon 865 chipset in September 2020.

Now, we can expect that the South Korean technology giant will stop producing the Galaxy S20 FE equipped with Exynos 990 and will sell variants based on Snapdragon 865 in some markets. However, after the release, the performance of Snapdragon 865 has always been better than Exynos 990, so this may be the reason for Samsung’s decision.
So far, German and Swedish websites have not confirmed the price of the new Galaxy S20 FE model, but its price may be the same as the currently available Exynos version. In addition, except for the processor, its hardware and software installation methods are the same as the previous version.
According to information via AndroidHeadlines, the Galaxy S20 FE 4G with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage space is priced at RM2,299 (~US$560) in Malaysia. At the same time, the old Galaxy S20 FE 4G powered by Exynos 990 starts at 599 Euros in the European market.
