Samsung is all set to launch its most awaited Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Z Flip 4 foldable smartphones on August 10. We can also say that company is taking one step forward in the process of bringing the foldable to the mainstream.
As per the report, Sung Koo Kim, a Vice President of Samsung’s mobile division confirms that the company wants to double up the sales of foldable phones by the second half of 2022 compared to the Galaxy Note series which was really a great elevate.
Last year the South Korean tech giant achieved a target of selling ten million foldable smartphones including about eight million Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3. Now the company is seeking to ship 15 million units of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 which will double the sales of the company in the year 2022.
Samsung discontinued the Galaxy Note series to increase the sale of its Foldables and Galaxy S series in the market. Whereas the old Galaxy Note 20 and Note 10 series are really relevant with the selling of 12 million and 14 million total units.
Samsung also increases the price of the upcoming foldable as compared to the previous Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3. Additionally, the company has recently signed a partnership deal with Qualcomm which means it will only use the Qualcomm chipset in its upcoming smartphones so both these factors combinedly can affect the shipment of the foldable.
