Here’s the solution to the app crashing issue on Android smartphones
While using an application, suddenly a new issue has popped up which is causing apps to crash sometimes while accessing them. After a large number of users are affected by this bug, they have started to report about it on different platforms such as Twitter, Facebook. Reddit, and others.
It is emerged due to the issue in the Android System WebView which is used to display web content. As per the reports, the apps which are crashing include Google, Gmail, and Amazon.
It is not only affecting a limited or sets of users but the problem is reported by smartphone users of several OEMs including Samsung, Huawei, Google Pixel, and Motorola. The most affected Samsung devices include Galaxy S21, Galaxy A50, Galaxy S8, Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, and Galaxy A71.
Meanwhile, Google has also addressed the issue and is working on a fix and the source was identified as WebKit. Also, there is a temporary solution provided by the company in order to solve the issue and if you are facing such a problem on your smartphone then you can try it as a temporary fix.

To get rid of the app crashing problem, head towards the Settings of your device and then go to Apps. Head to the Android System WebView and then click on the hamburger menu on the top right. Lastly, hit the Uninstall Updates button.
Google is also working on the permanent fix for this problem which is rolling out in the form of an update that brings a fix for the app crashing issue. However, the update is currently rolling out in batches, so it may take some time to reach your device. You can also check manually for the latest version of the Android System Webview app which comes with bug fixes.
