Sony Xperia III gets listed on Geekbench with Snapdragon 690 and 6GB RAM

Posted on

Sony is expected to launch the new generation of Xperia smartphones including Xperia 1 III and Xperia 10 III soon and one of the model is now been spotted on the Geekbench listing equipped with the Qualcomms Snapdragon 765G.

Geekbench benchmark test results show that this device is not much different from other Snapdragon 765G models. Of course, it does not rule out the possibility of Geekbench recognition errors. Relatively speaking, the previous-generation Xperia 10 II used the 6-series platform Snapdragon 665, so it is said that this generation of models may use the Snapdragon 690 5G chip.

The new generation of Xperia 10 III will be equipped with 6GB of storage, which is also a surprise for Sony’s mid-range models because the previous generation products only have a maximum of 4GB.

In contrast, the new generation of Xperia 10 III with larger storage space and stronger chips raises a new question, that is, whether Sony will stick to a relatively low price (about $350) or will relatively increase the price, however there is no info available yet.

Sony Xperia 10 III specifications (Expected)

Sony XPERIA 10 III (AKA XPERIA 10 Mark 3) measures approximately 154.4 x 68.4 x 8.3mm (9.1mm with rear camera bump). On the front side, it has an 8MP selfie camera.

Talking about the back panel, XPERIA 10 III equips a triple camera setup enclosed within the same vertical designed housing almost every recent Sony phone has shipped with while their specs still remain a mystery.

Additional expected specs:

  • 12MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and an 8MP telephoto sensor
  • Side-mounted fingerprint sensor (integrated within the power button)
  • 3.5mm headphone jack
