The iPhone 12 parts were taken off one by one and compared to the iPhone 11 parts. The video showed that the L-shaped logic board is used in the iPhone 12 which is longer than the logic board used in the iPhone 11 that had a straight design.

The company included smaller batteries in iPhone 12 as extra space was required for the 5G components. It seems that 5G drains the battery faster as shown in the early test and a bigger battery was required in this year’s iPhone.

The Taptic Engine that provides haptic feedback is also smaller in the iPhone 12. The teardown also reveals the magnetic ring which is used for the MagSafe accessories introduced along with the iPhone 12.

Other parts of these two iPhones were also compared in the teardown such as the display, rear camera lens, flash, and more. In the video, you can see all the parts of the iPhone 12 compared to the iPhone 11.
