According to a report by India Today Tech, the company has permanently discontinued the smartphone in the country with a target of releasing a new flagship phone (could be Xiaomi 12) in 2022.
Why was Mi 11 Ultra discontinued?
Well, Xiaomi India import Mi 11 Ultra smartphone from China. Because of this, Xiaomi had to incur several expenses and import duties since the device was not manufactured here. Reportedly, this is one of the main reasons behind the discontinuation.
Another reason behind the company taking this spet could be the global chip shortage. Due to chip shortages, extremely limited stock and import delays associated with flagship devices also hampered their cause.
Anyways, the company is yet to release an official announcement o this matter, although we expect an official statement to be released soon.
