Xiaomi has signed a partnership with camera manufacturer Leica in order to improve the lens performance of the upcoming flagship devices, especially the Xiaomi 12 Ultra.

Leica is a well-known manufacturer which helps the tech maker to boost the performance of the camera. So far, Leica indulged with Huawei to amplify the Mate and P-series smartphones. Although, now Xiaomi has stepped in with a firm partnership with Leica to implement improved lenses for future handsets.
Xiaomi 12 Ultra
Currently, we are expecting to see Xiaomi 12 Ultra with a high-tech camera framework. The dynamic device is suspected to arrive in July this year. Hence, we might see the result of Xiaomi and Leica’s partnership in 2-3 months.
Further, the announcement post describes how this partnership will lead to new optical technologies in the future:

It’s unclear for the moment what will arrive with the next high-end smartphone of Xiaomi. However, new reports claim that we would be able to explore new technologies along with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus processor.
