Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite launched in India with thin and light design, AMOLED display, 64MP quad camera and more

On June 22, Xiaomi finally launched the Mi 11 Lite smartphone in India. It features an IP53 rated chassis and a 6.55-inch AMOLED panel that produces FHD+ resolution and a 90 Hz refresh rate. The device runs on MIUI 12 based on Android 11 OS. For security, it is equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and more.

Moreover, the smartphone is the lightest smartphone of the brand, as the company says, “it’s Lite but Loaded”. In India device comes with 6GB RAM + 64 GB storage + 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage.

Also, the Mi 11 Lite is slightly different, with a 13-megapixel front camera, while the rear shell features a 64-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide snapper, and a 5-megapixel macro camera. The phone has dual speakers, but no 3.5 mm jack.

In terms of hardware, the device equipped with Snapdragon 732G mobile platform powers, Mi 11Lite with LPDDR4x RAM, and UFS 2.2 storage. This is a hybrid SIM card slot for the onboard, which can use an additional microSD card. The battery capacity is 4520 mAh, it is a 33W fast-charging device.

The Mi 11 Lite sports a 6.55-inch FHD+ flexible AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 10-bit color depth, 2,400 x 1,080 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 240Hz touch sampling rate.

It further has a DCI-P3 wide color gamut, 800nits brightness, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 layer, and punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper.

Processor

The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 732G 8nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 618 GPU.

Storage

The devices come with 6GB or 8GB RAM in addition to 64GB or 128GB storage that will be further expandable via a microSD card.

Software and connectivity

The phone runs on the Android 11-based MIUI 12 operating system out of the box. It will soon be updated to the latest MIUI 12.5.

Camera

In terms of camera, the Mi 11 Lite’s quad rear cameras comprise a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 5MP macro sensor. On the front, it has a 13MP selfie shooter.

Battery 

The battery capacity phone is 4,250mAh battery and the battery supports a 33W fast ching capacity.

Connectivity

Its connectivity features include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 (5G), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C for charging and data transfer. Also, it supports dual SIM (nano + nano).

The phone comes with stereo speakers with Hi-Res Audio certification, IP rating for splash & dust resistance, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual speakers, 360° ambient light sensor, accelerometer, proximity sensor, gyroscope, compass, linear vibration motor, and IR blaster. Also, it supports liquid cooling technology.

AVAILABILITY

The Mi 11 Lite comes in Tuscany Coral, Jazz Blue, and Vinyl Black colors. Customers can pre-order the smartphone starting from 12 PM on June 25. It will be available at Mi.com, Mi Home retail stores, Flipkart, and partner retail stores. The first sale is scheduled for June 28 at 12 PM.
