Xiaomi smartphone may debut with Samsung’s massive 200MP camera sensor
Earlier this year, Samsung launched a new Galaxy S series called Galaxy S21. The Galaxy S21 Ultra is the top product in the product series, with true flagship camera features, including a 108MP camera and two telephoto lenses, which can provide up to 100x space zoom without degrading image quality.
In addition, various OEM manufacturers have also launched their flagship smartphones, including Xiaomi’s latest Mi 11 Ultra. This is the industry’s first mobile phone equipped with Samsung ISOCELL GN2 50MP image sensor.
We have previously heard that Samsung ISOCELL is working on a 200MP camera sensor, which may be launched in the near future. A few months ago, it was reported that the company’s upcoming camera sensor may make its debut on ZTE’s smartphones.

According to Chinese media reports, Xiaomi has started to develop a new smartphone equipped with a 200MP sensor. According to reports, the 200MP camera sensor comes with model S5KGND and has a 1 / 1.37-inch sensor. In addition, it can capture 50MP images and can capture 12.5MP images in 16-in-1 pixel binning mode.
The report shows that ISOCELL’s 200MP camera sensor has 1.28μm pixels, which is much smaller than ISOCELL HM3’s 2.4μm pixels (9 in 1-pixel binning mode) and ISOCELL GN2’s 2.8μm pixels (4 in 1 pixel binning).
However, Samsung has not officially confirmed its 200MP camera sensor, although it may have 16K video recording capabilities. It is worth mentioning that there is currently no mobile processor available, which has an ISP capable of processing 16K video.
Finally, we recommend that you use this information as a reference because Samsung is reportedly also working on a large 600MP camera lens, which has a larger range than the human eye. When new data appears, we will notify you in time.
