The blogger revealed that Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will continue to use TSMC’s 4nm process, and the CPU is an eight-core design, including one X3 large core, and two A720 mid-core, two A710 mid-core, and three A510 small cores, while the GPU specification is Adreno740.
For comparison, the eight-core CPU of the current Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is one X2 large core, three A710 medium cores, and four A510 small cores, and the GPU specification is Adreno730.
According to the blogger’s revelations, compared with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 has undergone major changes in the CPU architecture design, from 1+3+4 three-cluster architecture to 1+2+2+ 3 Four-cluster architecture.
The blogger also broke the news yesterday that at least two new iterative phones equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will be launched at the end of this year, and one of these two phones is likely to be the Xiaomi Mi 13 series. The Mi 12 released last year also lacks a periscope telephoto lens and IP68.
