According to Apple’s new AirPods 3 specification page, AirPods 3 does not support iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and iPhone 5s. They also dropped support for the iPad mini 2 and iPad mini 3 and the sixth-generation iPod touch. Apple explained the reason in the footnote of the new AirPods, saying that some functions require iOS 13 and above, but none of the above devices support it.

Apple AirPods 3 battery life will reduce to 5 hours on enabling spatial audio
Recently, Apple announced the third-generation AirPods. According to the officials, these buds bring spatial audio support and are equipped with IPX4 sweat and water resistance.
Now the company claims that single battery life can reach 6 hours. However, the official website promotion page notes that when the AirPods 3 turns on spatial audio, the battery life will be reduced to 5 hours on a single charge, which is the same battery life as the AirPods 2.

So, if battery life is calculated by turning off the AirPods 3’s spatial audio, it’s actually 1 hour longer than the AirPods 2 with the same function.
But the main promotional selling point of the AirPods 3 is “spatial audio.” Apple also advertises 6 hours of battery life, which is easy to let buyers create a cognitive preference.
Aside from this, the tried generation AirPods have joined the world-famous Apple headset product line. They will be available for order today, priced at 1,399 yuan, and will be available in retail stores from October 26 (Tuesday).
