Apple plans to adopt color-sampling sensors for future wearables

Apple is planning to make dynamic changes to future wearables, and this is going to be possible with color sampling sensors. The tech giant has recently issued a new patent that describes that the upcoming wrist gadgets could match the watch’s face color to your band and clothes.

Diving into the details, the company applied for a new patent this week entitled “Electronic Devices with Color Sampling Sensors”. Thereafter, the company explains how the light (color-sampling) sensors under the Apple Wearables would be able to measure the color of external objects.

Besides, it will further aim to match the background of the currently displayed watch face with the color of the wearer’s clothing and band choice. Things are still under the hood though we can expect some hustles in this matter by early 2024.
