Apple is considering FineWoven cases over leather ones for iPhone 15 models and it looks like the same concept will be applied to the wrist gadget. As per the new inputs, Apple is planning to eliminate leather bands for its smartwatches following the Watch Series 9 launch.
Mark Gurman recently mentioned in his Bloomberg report that Apple will begin moving away from leather bands for its smartwatches as well. Although this statement puts a question mark on the powerful partnership between Apple and the luxury brand Hermès.
On the flip side, the company kept its Apple Watch Hermès leather accessories on sale at massive discounts last month. This activity points out that the manufacturer is trying to clear its inventory.
Well, a fabric-based material over leather sounds more eco-friendly. At the same time, it helps in decreasing the manufacturing cost. Thus, we could expect that the tech maker could eliminate leather cases completely in the time ahead.
