Apple Watch Series 7 and Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 to come with blood sugar monitoring
Smartwatches nowadays are becoming smarter and can do many things such as monitoring blood oxygen, heart rate, sleep monitoring, and much more. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, people are becoming health conscious. Looking at this, the wearable section in the coming days is expected to encounter tremendous growth in the global market.
Now the brands are also getting in touch with the stats and introducing more and more health-related features on their smartwatches. Recently the companies like Samsung and Apple have added a new blood oxygen monitoring functionality on their smartwatches. And now these two tech giants are looking for more such functions for their future devices.
According to the latest news, another new feature that will be added to the smartwatch in the coming days is blood glucose monitoring. As per the report from the South Korean media, Apple and Samsung will be the two brands that will adopt this functionality in their smartwatches.

Samsung’s upcoming smartwatch which is Galaxy Watch 4 is expected to arrive in the second half of this year and also the Apple Watch Series 7 from the Cupertino tech giant may be using this new function.
Looking at how it works, unlike the normal blood glucose measuring machine, the smartwatches will use optical sensors to detect the amount of glucose in the blood. This new feature will contribute to the health management of the general public as well as the diabetics.
Samsung is planning for its upcoming smartwatch that could be the Galaxy Watch 4 or Galaxy Watch Active 3 and the Apple Watch Series 7 is also in the works.
