Fitbit Sense 2 and Versa 4 gains support Dynamic GPS features

Fitbit Sense 2 and Versa 4 wearables are getting a new update that brings Dynamic GPS features on board. As part of the Google Feature Drop update for existing smartwatches and trackers, the Fitbit firm is also offering some eye-catching enhancements to its devices.

According to the information, the Fitbit Sense 2 and Versa 4 users will now be able to use dynamic GPS functionalities. These tweaks include three modes namely – Dynamic, Built-in GPS, and Phone GPS. Notably, you may find this change in the 194.61 version.

Now let’s learn more about these three modes:

  • Dynamic: When enabled, the smartwatch or tracker sets the GPS type at the start of the workout. In case your phone is with you, the device will use the phone’s GPS. Whereas if your handset is far away from you, the wearable will work with the built-in GPS.

1. Built-in GPS: On turning on this feature, it will track your route, steps, distance, and other related statistics. Although it can affect your device’s battery health and can reduce the cells quickly.

2. Phone GPS: This option also performs the same functions as the built-in GPS. However, it helps in preserving the battery life on your wrist gadget.

Apart from these, you can press and hold your finger on the latest clock face to swap between ‘already saved’ faces. Eventually, it will save you time from going to the app and swiping your finger among various faces to find your favorite one. In addition, the version brings support for global characters and multiple languages with bug fixes and improvements.
